Using CoCast
Yes. Applications that are minimized or running only in the background are not shown in CoCast’s share list. This is a privacy feature for both individuals and organizations, helping prevent applications you are not actively using from appearing when you share or switch content.
It is especially useful when working with a full display that may contain private or sensitive applications.

Pricing & Availability
Your initial CoCast Personal purchase gives you a perpetual license to the version you purchased. The optional renewal is for another year of updates and maintenance, not for continued ownership of the software.
You can continue using your existing version without renewing the annual update package, as long as it remains compatible with your computer and the current CoCast service and client versions. Over time, older versions may no longer be compatible as CoCast and supported systems change.
If you cancel your Personal subscription, the subscription-based service and features end when your current subscription period expires. Your CoCast Personal license remains yours, and CoCast falls back to the available P2P cloud version.
You can continue using the version you own as long as it remains compatible with your computer and the current CoCast service and client versions. You can restart your Personal subscription later to restore the subscription-based service and features.
Subscriptions and Licensing
Yes. If your Personal subscription has ended or you canceled it, you can restart it later. You will not be charged for the time your subscription was inactive. Your new subscription period begins on the date you restart, and that date becomes your new renewal date.
If you later cancel again, your annual update period begins at the end of that most recent subscription period. Current subscription terms and pricing will apply when you restart.

Teams & Studios
Team and Studio both provide organization-managed CoCast access, but they are designed for different group sizes. Team includes 12 licensed seats, while Studio includes 24.
Each plan also supports a larger number of active users, including invited guests and other participating accounts. Final active-user limits will be published before launch.
Yes. Additional users can be added as your group grows. If all included seats are already assigned, additional seats can be purchased based on your plan.
Yes. An administrator can remove a user from the organization when they no longer need access through that Team or Studio.
An available seat can be assigned to another user. Once a license or seat has been activated for a specific user, how it can be reassigned may depend on the license and account status.
Yes. Team and Studio access can be provided to contractors or other outside collaborators when the organization chooses to include them as users.
Team and Studio plans are purchased and managed by the organization. Individual users receive access through seats assigned to them by an administrator.
Team and Studio administrators manage the organization’s users, seats, invitations, and access settings.
Yes. Organizations can organize and manage users based on their teams, departments, or working groups as supported by their CoCast plan.
Yes. A CoCast user can belong to more than one organization under the same account and can also maintain their own Personal license.
The organization can remove that user’s Team or Studio access. Any separate Personal CoCast license owned by the user remains theirs.
Administrators can see the account information, membership, permissions, and organization activity needed to manage their own group. They cannot watch a user’s CoCast session content or see sessions the user joins outside that organization.
Yes. People outside your Team or Studio can join a session using their own CoCast account or with a Team or Studio Guest Pass provided by the organization.
Yes. With approval from the group administrator, an outside user can participate using a Team or Studio Guest Pass. Standard Guest accounts can join the session and view shared content, but they cannot share their own screen.
Team and Studio plans can be purchased directly through CoCast website. Choose the plan that fits your organization, complete the purchase, and then set up your group and assign users.
If you stop your Team or Studio subscription, the organization’s paid group access and subscription-based features end when the current subscription period expires.
Users may still keep any separate Personal licenses or other CoCast access they own independently. They can continue using CoCast through available P2P access or purchase their own Personal subscription if they want independent access.
Yes. If your Team or Studio subscription has ended, or you canceled an active subscription, you can renew it later and restore the organization’s paid group access and subscription-based features.
You will not be charged for the time your subscription was inactive. Your new subscription period begins on the date you renew, and that date becomes your new renewal date. Current renewal terms and pricing will apply at that time.

- no lost subscription time
- renewal starts fresh on the day you come back
- the renewal date resets to that new date
